Cassandra Taylor is a seasoned leader, Army veteran, and the Founder and CEO of Top Flight Defense, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the overall health and mental wellness of women veterans and women in the community.
With 28 years of distinguished service in the United States Army, Cassandra held key leadership roles including Human Resource Sergeant, Training Noncommissioned Officer, Equal Opportunity Representative, and Administrative Sergeant.
Throughout her military career, she also served as a Unit Victim’s Advocate and Sexual Assault Representative, demonstrating a deep commitment to advocacy, equity, and the well-being of others.
Following her military service, Cassandra built a successful career spanning over 20 years in human resources, where she continues to apply her expertise in leadership, organizational development, and workforce support. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management, a Master’s degree in Human Resources, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism
As the visionary behind Top Flight Defense, Inc., Cassandra has spent the past six years leading impactful initiatives that empower women veterans through programs focused on health, wellness, and community connection. Her work has reached thousands through virtual workshops, community events, and national engagements.
Cassandra is also a dynamic speaker and community leader, having appeared on news segments, radio programs, and podcasts, where she advocates for veterans and promotes holistic wellness. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the National Association of Black Military Women, remains deeply committed to service, leadership, and creating spaces where women veterans can thrive.
