My name is Cassandra Taylor, a 28 year Retired Army Veteran. Born and raised in Maywood, Illinois; I attended Proviso East High School for my first two years but relocated to Fort Madison, IA where I graduated from Fort Madison High School. After graduating high school, I attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA, within one year I later transferred to the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. I later went on to receive my Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Technical Management at DeVry University in Addison, IL. One year later, I received my Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management at Keller Graduate School of Management in Schaumburg, IL. I also have my MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management.
As Founder and CEO of Top Flight Defense, Inc, a non-profit organization created by women veterans for all women. We focus on the overall health and mental wellness of women veterans and the women in their community.
I have performed The National Anthem at several sporting and military events, such as: Chicago Sky WMBA, The Professional Bull Riders, Chicago Wolves, Chicago Bandits, Mission Bar B Que, and Monster Truck Jam. Awards currently received: 2023 VA Center for Women Veterans Trailblazers “Women Making a Difference” Recognition, 2023 Women Of Excellence- Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, and Chicago Veterans 23 in 2023 Award. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Schaumburg Hoffman Estates Alumnae Chapter and the National Association of Black Military Women. My hobbies are exercising, singing, dancing, and spending time with my family.
